Who I Work With

I work with adults (18 and over) in relationships. I see couples in a variety of relationship structures, including monogamous and polyamorous partnerships, as well as those who are married and those who are not. My couples clients are often not lacking in love for one another but are struggling in some way—whether with communication, intimacy, rupture repair, conflict management, or navigating life transitions.

What to Expect

For couples therapy, I primarily use Gottman Therapy and am Level One trained through the Gottman Institute. Gottman Therapy is highly research- and evidence-based, focusing on deepening emotional connection, skillfully navigating conflict, moving through and past difficult moments in your relationship without building resentment, and fostering a deep understanding of one another.

I also incorporate Internal Family Systems (IFS) in couples therapy, including training in Intimacy From the Inside Out, an adaptation of IFS specifically for couples. Additionally, I have experience with Marathon Therapy, Attachment Therapy, Somatic Therapy, and more, and often integrate these tools into couples therapy sessions.

As with individual therapy, I tend to draw from a variety of modalities to remain flexible and responsive to the unique needs of each couple.

*Marathon Therapy is an optional approach in which sessions are longer (2-4 hours). Some clients find that 50-minute sessions feel too short when working with more than one person. Marathon Therapy is not required but offered as an option, and can be scheduled in a way that doesn’t increase your overall cost. A suggested schedule might include a double session (50 minutes x2) every two weeks or a triple session (50 minutes x3) every three weeks.
