Who I Work With
I work with adults (18 and over) seeking therapy for a variety of reasons. My individual clients often come to therapy feeling stuck, depleted, or overwhelmed. They may struggle with self-worth, depression, anxiety, trauma, or patterns of behavior that no longer serve them. Many of my clients already know what they should do but find it difficult to follow through.
What to Expect
For individual therapy, I primarily use Internal Family Systems (IFS) and am Level One trained through the IFS Institute. IFS is sometimes called “parts work” because it focuses on the deeply rooted wounds and lessons we’ve learned throughout our lives—the underlying causes of our feelings and behaviors, rather than just the symptoms.
Many people come to therapy feeling frustrated because they already know what they should do (e.g., I know I should stop isolating. I know I should go outside more. I know I should stop drinking.) but struggle to make those choices. IFS helps us understand ourselves, recognize why we do what we do, and cultivate self-compassion, healing, and lasting change in our well-being.
IFS is not just talk therapy—it is also experiential. It is an evidence-based practice, meaning it has been studied in randomized controlled trials and shown to be effective.
In addition to IFS, I am trained in a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Somatic Therapy, and more. I draw from multiple modalities because there is no single approach that works for everyone. My goal is to tailor therapy to each individual, using different tools and perspectives in a way that best supports their needs.
